2010 Chevrolet Camaro


Camaro fans have been waiting for the return of the badge since the fourth-generation model ended production in 2002. With the help of South Korean designer Sangyup Lee, GM surprised us all with the Chevrolet Camaro Concept at the 2006 Detroit Auto Show. However, it has been more than 2 years and we’re still waiting on the production model. Well - keep waiting wait no more. GM finally revealed the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro on July 21, 2008.

The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro will enter production in February 2009 and will be available in dealerships shortly after in three trim-levels: LS, LT and SS. The LS and LT are powered by a 3.6 liter direct-injected V6 giving it 300-hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed manual with a 6-speed automatic as an option. Both V6 models return a fuel-economy of 26mpg with a 0-60 time of 6.1 seconds.

The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS carries a 6.2 liter LS3 V8 that produces 422-hp and 408 lb-ft of torque when mated to a 6-speed manual and 400-hp and 395 lb-ft of torque when mated to a 6-speed automatic. 0-60 comes in 4.6 seconds.

The V6 powered 2010 Chevrolet Camaro starts at $22,995 while the V8 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS starts at $30,995. You can head over to Chevy.com/Camaro to place and early order.

Both LS and LT get a 4-wheel disc ABS as standard and the SS gets 4-piston Brembo calipers. The LT and SS also come with an RS appearance package as an option which give you HID headlamps with integrated halo rings, spoiler, specific tail lamps and 20-inch wheels.
