2009 Bentley Continental GTC Speed

The 2009 Bentley Continental GTC Speed made its world debut at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show as the fastest Bentley convertible ever with the ability to travel 195 mph with the roof down.

Under the hood of the new Bentley Continental GTC Speed is a 6.0L W12 that pumps out 600-hp with a maximum torque of 553 lb-ft. Mated to a 6-speed transmission with two drive modes, the GTC Speed goes from 0 to 60 mph run in just 4.5 seconds.

Prices for the 2009 GTC Speed will be revealed closer to its launch date later this year.

• 200mph GTC Speed is the most powerful Bentley convertible ever.
• GTC Speed gets twin-turbocharged W12 with 600-hp.
• 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds; Top speed of 200 mph.
Bentley has dropped the details on the new facelifted 2009 Bentley GTC range prior to its 2009 Detroit Auto Show debut. This year, the GTC range will be joined by the 200mph GTC Speed - the most powerful Bentley convertible ever.

Besides the highly unnoticeable facelight the standard GTC gets new low-friction dampers that provide improved ride comfort. Buyers can add on two new options including upgraded fade-resistant, carbon-ceramic brakes and follow-to-stop Adaptive Cruise Control with long-range radar sensor that monitors traffic ahead and manages acceleration and brakes to maintain a driver-selected time gap.
