Subaru Legacy Concept
After showing us a teaser last month, Subaru today took the covers off of its new 2009 Subaru Legacy Concept which it says hints at the future Legacy design language. The future Legacy may be slightly roomier since the design concept sits on a larger 108.3-in. wheelbase that will comfortably accommodate 4-adults. Power comes from a 3.6L Boxer engine coupled with Subaru’s All-Wheel Drive system.
Besides the aggressive front fascia and the expressive body, the interior features a 4-seat layout that showcases what Subaru calls the “High Definition” design theme. A large touch-screen is at the center console and controls various functions of the car. Steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters also hint at new options on the future Legacy model. The Subaru Legacy concept also features a in-car entertainment system with monitors fitted in the rear of the front seat headrests.
Don’t expect features like the monitor for the Side Rear Vision Camera to make it into production.
